The Rocks at Plas Curig started life as a private house, built in 1903, before becoming a hotel and then a YHA hostel. Today, it is a luxury hostel run by a couple who followed their dreams to move from London to the mountains of Snowdonia. Every room in The Rocks Hostel has been designed with style and care; from the wooden benches in the dining room and abundance of board games to choose from, to the beautiful, spacious shared kitchens that make cooking your dinner after a along day in the hills a real treat, to the cosy cushions and blankets that fill the lounge, with a wood burner for the colder months and views out to Snowdonia’s peaks from every window. Location-wise, The Rocks is ideal with Mt. Snowdon only a 12 minute drive away, and the hills of the Ogwen Valley also close by.
Within the hostel you have the option of staying in a private room with a double bed and 1, 2 or 3 single beds — ideal for families — or a private room with 4, 6 or 8 single beds. There are also double and twin rooms available, or you can hire the whole hostel out for an event, sleeping up to 59 guests. The hostel is dog-friendly, has free WiFi, firepits outside, bike storage and a drying room, making it perfect for your next adventure in Snowdonia national Park.
