Dartmoor Shepherd is run by a young couple who are passionate about maintaining traditional farming practises. Their sheepskin rugs are a bi-product of their own hoggett, tanned in Britian’s oldest tannery. We have two variations of rugs in our store; the Jacob Sheepskin and the Welsh Mountain Brown Sheepskin.

Jacob Sheepskin; beautifully soft, with cream and brown throughout. The Jacob is an attractive British breed of domestic sheep that tends to be small and multi-horned.

Welsh Mountain Brown Sheepskin; sourced from a neighbouring farm, the Welsh Mountain Brown is originally from Devon with a natural brown colouring.
